21 members of Kano State Assembly officially switch to APC
A whole of 21 members of Kano State House of Assembly have officially defected to the All Progressives Congress. They’ve dumped New Nigeria Peoples Party, (NNPP).
The lawmakers announced their defection earlier today, days after Governor Abba Yusuf resigned from NNPP.

Abba, who cited protracted legal battles and internal crises as his reason for defecting, is also going to officially join APC today.
The lawmakers that defected on Monday include the Speaker, Jibril Ismail Falgore representing Rogo, Deputy Speaker, Muhammad Bello Butu Butu (Tofa/Rimin Gado) Majority Leader, Lawan Hussain (Dala), Deputy Majority Leader, Garba Shehu Fammar (Kibiya), Chief Whip Muddasir Ibrahim Zawachiki (Kumbotso) and the Majority Whip, Zakariyya Abdullahi Nuhu (Gabasawa).
Others are Lawal Tini (Ajingi), Musa Tahir Haruna (Albasu), Ali Lawan Alhassan (Bagwai/Shanono), Ali Muhammad Tiga (Bebeji), Hafiz Gambo (Bunkure), Rabiu Shuaibu (Dawakin Kudu), Tukur Mohammed (Fagge) and Murtala Muhammad Kadage (Garko).
The political realignment has intensified across the country as more heavyweights joining the president’s party. Few days ago, 774 people left NNPP and join APC in Rimin Gado Local Government Area of the state.
