Don’t vote for Peter Obi in 2027, he’s a fool – Kenneth Okonkwo
Nollywood actor-turned-politician Kenneth Okonkwo is the greatest adversary the Obidient Movement has at the moment. Everyday, and at any chance he gets on media, he goes for Mr Peter Obi’s jugular – to suffocate him.
During a chat at Arise TV on Wednesday, Okonkwo said that a vote for Peter Obi is a vote for President Bola Tinubu’s reelection. Therefore, anyone who doesn’t want the president reelected must vote against Obi/Kwankwaso ticket.

“Because when you divide the votes of the coalition and the opposition, you are still making Tinubu to be better placed to win. That’s what Bloomberg said,” Okonkwo said.
But the former Labour Party spokesperson was making valid points. According to him, it’s only a united opposition front that is could oust the incumbent in the next general elections. Obi’s decisions to enter the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and then dump it to join the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) reeked of weaknesses, Okonkwo said.

As far as he was concerned, there is no single presidential candidate who is aiding APC’s victory in the coming elections more than Peter Obi. He also accused the former Anambra State governor of being afraid of challenges – the basic yardstick to see a failure from a distance.
“Now, nobody forced you, Peter Obi, to enter into ADC. You entered on your own. And one week to the end of the closure of the time, you left,” he said.
Recall that Peter Obi defected to NDC a week before ADC presidential primary elections. Okonkwo is now hitting him hard on that, saying Obi is afraid of competing in the primary elections.
“And you want to be a politician. And you can’t compete in primary. You want to be the president of a challenge country? And you’re running away from challenges,” he said, adding that anyone voting for Peter Obi in 2027 is essentially voting for Bola Tinubu.
