Countless people die after train misses rail track in Warri-Itakpe

Many passengers have lost their life following a train operating at Warri corridor missed track and fell down yesterday. Confirming the incident, Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) said that help has been deployed to see how many people that could be saved.

“The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) confirms that an incident involving the Warri-Itakpe Train Service (WITS) occurred today,” the corporation’s managing director and chief executive officer, Kayode Opeifa, said in a statement.

He added they are “monitoring” the situation and that rescue mission has been deployed to help salvage the situation.
