Fidelis Ilechukwu signs new contract with Enugu Rangers

The speculation on whether or not Fidelis Ilechukwu would keep playing for Rangers has been laid to rest, InfoWars reported. After guiding the club to their ninth NPFL title in the 2025/26 season, it was rumoured that he was to be shown the way out.

But Ilechukwu has signed a one-year contract with the Coal City club.

A member of the Super Eagles’ technical crew, Fidelis Ilechukwu, 47, is a top tactician in Nigeria football community. He was appointed Rangers head coach in 2023, having helped Flying Antelopes win their eight title in the 2023/24 season.

He served as one of the assistant coaches of the Nigerian national team.
