Former Kano Deputy Governor Gawuna formally joins ADC

Former Deputy Governor of Kano State Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna has formally joined the African Democratic Congress.

He had announced his resignation from the All Progressives Congress yesterday, completing his ADC membership at his ward in Gawuna, Nasarawa Local Government Area earlier today. Gawuna was accompanied to the exercise by the leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement and former presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Kwankwaso himself formally joined ADC yesterday.

Crowd of supporters were at the registration ground and show massive support. Kwankwaso and Gawuna’s defection marks some significant political realignment ahead of the 2023 general elections.
