Osita Ngwu is a fraudulent and dishonest senator – SaharaReporters

The senator representing Enugu West, Osita Ngwu, is under fire nationwide as his constituents also draw a special battle line against him at home.

SaharaReporters, in its news report on February 4, quoted sources who derided the lawmaker, notably describing him as a “dishonest” and “fraudulent” man.

There has been growing call for Senator Ngwu to vacate his position as Minority Whip in the Senate. With the aim for balance, the position is exclusively reserved for the opposition or for Minority caucus in the Red Chamber.

However, Ngwu who won the senate in 2023 under the Peoples Democratic Party has defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress alongside Governor Peter Mbah in 2025. Mbah publicly announced his defection. But Ngwu has refused to do so even though APC officials in his Ngwo Uno Ward, Udi Local Government Area have confirmed his membership.

The rule is simply, and its that Osita Ngwu has lost the right to remain as the Minority Whip of the 10th Assembly.

“It is deeply troubling and disappointing that a distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria could act in such a dishonest and fraudulent manner”, SaharaReporters quoted a source as saying.

It was solely out of greed the Osita Ngwu has refused to formally announce his defection to allow him “to continue usurping the Minority Whip position”.

“Senator Osita Ngwu continues to manipulate the system, apparently aiming to collect the benefits due to the Minority Whip in the last week of February 2025”, the source slammed Ngwu.

Meanwhile, the Enugu West constituents are bracing to unseat the “fraudulent” senator in 2027. He was the only PDP senator from Enugu after the 2023 elections, made possible by massive rigging that defied the Labour Party tsunami mostly in Aninri, Awgu, Udi and Ezeagu council areas.

Uprising looms in Aninri community as Sen Ngwu sends ₦15M to PG’s personal account

Senator Osita Ngwu may have set fire in Amagu community – unknowingly. One of the eighteen villages in Oduma in Aninri local government area, Amagu is an autonomous community. Its traditional ruler, HRH Igwe D.O Ohabuikem, an unassuming and complacent man, is satisfied to confine himself in his ceremonial roles.

So Amagu community is actively run by the President General. In 2024 the community stakeholders came together and “anointed” Comr Christian Onyeabor (a.ka. Udengene) and made him President General – unopposed and against the wish of many. He is the fourth PG, and the only one among them who understands not just how to abuse power, but also how to weaponize it.

On Thursday he paid a “courtesy visit” to Sen Osita Ngwu on behalf of the community, and returned with his bank account fattened with a ₦15 million-transfer from the senator.

That immediately raised eyebrows. For a man who received financial supports more than every other single leader in Amagu, Udengene has shown little interest for accountability and utter disdain to be questioned for that.

At the early stage of his administration, he recommended that number of culverts be put in place. He proposed also an administrative building. Thrilled by his sugar-coated rhetorics, the community billionaires donated nearly ₦100 million at the drop of a cap. He returned the policy of multiple taxes in the community, and has allegedly raised millions from the people’s sufferings.

Yet, the administrative building is not anywhere near a finishing stage despite massive, free manual labour from the women and the youths.

As he shared the “good news” of Sen Ngwu’s transfer in the community WhatsApp groups, Udengene said the money is earmarked for major bridges and culverts inside the community. Many of the proposed projects he listed are those which the subjects have already fully paid for. But who dares ask a question?

Why the President General received financial donations on behalf of the community through his personal or business account is another question. But again, who will ask? Amagu autonomous community has number of functional bank accounts, but they are rarely used under Udengene administration. The ₦15-million donation was received through SPIDER WEB EMPORIUM, Udengene’s business account, on “05-Feb-2026 10:54:43 AM”. The narration read, “Community Project for sen osita (sic)”.

Now, Amagu Concern Citizens, a rising pressure group within the community, is standing to ask those questions. Made up of young and rich youths, the group is a direct offshoot of the PG’s blind and draconian leadership. They are already in High Court with him as the PG continues, in vain, to whip up sentiments against their causes inside the community.

Already, they’ve taken the hearts of the people from the PG as their causes fully resonate with the people’s cravings, and as they’ve successfully labelled Udengene the community’s number one public enemy.

As the autonomous community sets to hold its Annual General Meeting scheduled March or April, violent clashes or possible bloodshed might be inevitable in the land where the majority have the feelings that their common glory is fast eroding due to actions of selfish leaders.

Senator Osita Ngwu gives surveillance cameras to constituents

Senator Osita Ngwu gives surveillance solar cameras to the people of Eke, a small community in Enugu West constituency.

Speaking at the mini ceremony Ngwu, who was represented by his aide Emeka Aneke, said the cameras “were his way of ensuring that every part of his constituency is empowered with enough security materials,” according to a circular from his media office.

The Eke Progressive Forum, a special interest group, received the items on behalf of the people and its leaders “assured [the senator] of their total support… at all times,” the circular continued.

Constituents lead fight against Reps member Anayo Onwuegbu over “Utara” machine empowerment

Senator Osita Ngwu was the only senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who survived Labour Party’s deadly incursions in the 2023 elections. The electoral machines were hijacked and the election grossly rigged in his favour.

He, alongside major Political bigwigs in Enugu State defected to APC, abandoning PDP to perish.

Ngwu has not publicly declared his bid for reelection but he is “ready for more terms,” an insider source told InfoWars. His predecessor former Senator Ike Ekweremadu sat on the seat for 20 years.
