ADC drags Chief Judge Tsoho to court as heat intensifies

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is, perhaps, fighting it’s last fight for survival. Leadership of the party are now dragging Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice John Tsoho to court. Also included in the suit, which dated June 4, 2026, is the National Judicial Council (NJC).
ADC and groups such as Grassroots Mobilization Network (GMN) are accusing the judiciary of aiding the protracted leadership crises in opposition parties ahead of 2027 general elections.
Nafiu Bala Gombe had been fighting David Mark-led leadership in the court. But how that matter is being handled shows that the judiciary has compromise, ADC alleged.
Now, National Welfare Secretary of the ADC, Nkemakolam Ukandu, is seeking to join Nafiu Bala and is now expanding the list of enemies.
The new suit said that Justice Peter Lifu, the judge assigned to hear the Bala’s case is not treating the matter satisfactorily.
However, its still unclear how far those suits could go. Even almost three days after the suit was filed, neither Justice Tsoho nor Justice Lifu reacted.
