Kidnapped little Plateau boy rescued after 2 months in captivity

After two months in captivity the little, fresh boy from Plateau State regained his freedom. Bandits kidnapped master Yahaya Uddido on April 9 at Pikat community in Kanam Local Government Area of the state.

A security source who was involved in the rescue operation told Lindaikejiblog that Yahaya’s freedom came through “non-kinethic engagements,” but did provide details. But the efforts, coordinated between the local leaders and the troops of Operation Enduring Peace.

It added that the bandits abandoned Yahaya at Kukawa general area owing to the pressure from the security forces. The troops then picked the little boy.

“The rescue was achieved through a non-kinetic approach involving continuous engagement and collaboration between community leaders and security forces. The victim was abandoned by his captors and safely recovered by troops,” the source said.

Bandits have taken over several parts of North-central region of Nigeria, kidnapping one victim for ransom and killing another for fun. Both state and federal governments appear helpless and overwhelmed.
