A very beautiful woman has taken to social media to advise fellow women whose husband are cheating to be patient.

Mrs Faith Philip, in a post shared on her Facebook yesterday, said that a cheating husband is better than a dead one.

“Dear married women, stay with your husband and family no matter what, a cheating husband is better than a dead husband. Good morning understanding wives,” Mrs Philip said.

The advice is rare, coming at the time when many homes break on daily basis on the account of infidelity.

Nigeria doesn’t keep records of the number of divorce but organisations like Dataphyte have provided reliable hints. The national divorce rate stands at 2.9%, which means that 1.8 divorces occur per 1,000 people.

Nigeria ranked 11th globally among countries with the highest rate of divorce, with women initiating about 62% of them. United States record a total of number of 673,989 divorce in 2025 even though it is not among the first six countries ranking the highest. Maldives leads the world when it comes to divorce cases.
