Tinubu is the greatest democrat there is – Gov Dapo Abiodun

Osun State Governor Dapo Abiodun is full of praise for President Bola Tinubu.

He called Tinubu an unarguable true democrat. Abiodun was speaking earlier today when he presented the results of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for Ogun East Senatorial District, which he won.

For him, God is the one who wrought the victory. But President Bola Tinubu is to be highly praised, too.

He also thanked the stakeholders as well as the APC loyalists in his constituency. Particularly worthy of mentioning was that he thanked Tinubu for “inclusive democratic policies” of his administration, especially the president’s insistence on direct primaries.

So far, President Tinubu has ensured hitch-free primary elections across the country. And the exercises appear democratic, too.

However, the APC Expression of Interest fee of ₦2 million and ₦18 million for Nomination fee for senatorial contest is really striking many as purely an undemocratic step. Without explicitly saying so, the party has disenfranchised many of its loyalists from seeking some positions.
