More reactions as Arsenal insists on selling Martin Odegaard

The decision to sell Martin Odegaard has been met with sharp, immediate criticism. Hours after the news leaked, the protest has continued as more Arsenal fans think the idea is foolish.
Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, first said the Gunners are considering selling their captain.
“It’s madness for me to be saying this, but they [Arsenal] probably will be thinking about that [selling Martin Odegaard],” Merson said on The Sports Agents.
Martin Odegaard joined Arsenal from Real Madrid in 2021. After the club’s former captain, Patrick Vieira, the Norwegian is the first club’s captain to lift Premier League trophy last season.
As far as Merson is concerned, Martin Odegaard’s market value is high enough that a lot of other clubs would be lining up to sign the midfielder. Others share the sentiments, too.
“But for me, I still think there will be teams queuing around the block for him. When you play in the position that Odegaard plays in, you are screaming out for pace up front. You have to have pace,” Merson said.
