Chelsea is desirous to have Victor Osimhen – Report

Despite Galatasaray demanding a whopping €150 million to sell Victor Osimhen, Chelsea has joined in the scramble to buy the star. According to reports from Turkey, the Super Eagles striker is a hot deal across Europe.

The development is emerging following a rather controversial public statement from Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle. Chelle has confirmed that Osimhen wouldn’t be playing in the friendly matches against Poland and Portugal which are coming this June.

Victor Osimhen will not be in our friendly matches against Poland and Portugal. Because there may be a possibility of a club change. Therefore, I preferred him to stay at home. If your mind is not 100% here, going out on the field to play does not create a good situation,” Chelle said.

The statement spark instant and viral reactions, as fans speculated over the 27-year-old’s future.

Victor Osimhen has since rushed to put out the fire.

“I just got off the phone with Coach Eric Chelle regarding the comments about me in his recent interview,” Osimhen said, added that Chelle’s words were taking out of context.

Super Eagles media team is also trying to put Chelle’s words right.

But the demand for Osimhen remains very high in Europe despite the denials. Reports have it that Manchester United is also seriously angling for the Nigerian.
