For the Anglican Diocese on the Niger and, of course, for all human beings with conscience, it’s heart-wrenching watching Rev. Chibuzor Amakom lay like a log of wood.
Rev. Amakom was ordained Anglican priest under the Diocese on the Niger only two months ago, on July 19, 2026. Yesterday – September 4, 2026 – death tragically took him untimely when he was involved in a ghastly accident.
Before his ordination, Rev Amakom served at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Nkpor in Idemili North local government area in Anambra State. He was subsequently posted at St Mary’s Anglican Church Obosi, also in Idemili North in Anambra State.
The late clergyman reportedly hailed from Ukpomachi, a village in Awkuzu, Oyi local government area in Anambra State.
