I would have ignored this challenge because I’m not from the Oji-River local government. Still, since the office in contest (Aninri, Awgu, and Oji-River Federal House of Representatives Constituency) is in my zone, I’ll air my view.

First, I’m glad you have realised there’s a challenge, or rather a serious contest, for the Greater Awgu Rep in the Green Chamber. The challenge is not just coming from an opponent but from a well-known leader in the zone – Hon. Chinedu Onyeagba – Omex Global, under the ADC.
Coming to your said challenge, despite not being from Oji-River Council, due to the popularity and impactful leadership of Hon. Chinedu Onyeagba – Omex Global, during his one-term tenure as the council chairman of Oji-River, he was able to accomplish these verifiable projects:
- He started solar-powered lighting in Oji-River.
- He donated 4 light transformers to villages in his council.
- In the area of security, to my knowledge, Hon. Chinedu Onyeagba established the Oji-River Response Security Team and empowered them with a vehicle and motorcycles.
This is to tell you that Omex Global is a futuristic leader, because even Gov. Mbah adopted such an initiative, and that’s the SRS (Special Response Squad), he launched in the state.
I could recall one of his videos I saw then, leading the security team in the forest to curb insecurity.
Not forgetting, I’m aware it was during his administration that he brought Oji-River undergraduate students together under one umbrella, offering members scholarships and empowerment support.
In fact, I can go on, but let me stop here. Before you question how I know without coming from Oji-River, it’s the same way you and I don’t need to come from Abia before knowing that Dr. Alex Otti is doing well there.
The truth remains that Greater Awgu needs a change. It’s time to elect our Representative and not a court-made one who turned back on the people and is already taking us backward.
Anayo Onwuegbu should answer the questions he was asked concerning the said Ivo River Dam and stop involving IKEOHA or sending you to ask irrelevant questions.
