A 22-year-old man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for raping his own biological mother. The evil act happened on November 23, 2025 at Carnarvon in North Cape, South Africa.

It happened that the man returned home very drunk from a friend’s house. His mother and her partner had also drunk heavily and were asleep when he came back. Quietly, the man pulled off his mother’s clothes and inserted his manhood into the 42-year-old mother, NPA spokesperson Mojalefa Senokoatsane said.
He was in the middle of that when she woke up to the horror. The son fled the house at once. But the woman reported to her partner, the police was involved and manhunt began.
Eventually he was apprehended. He denied wrongdoing at first but DNA tests showed that he actually slept with his mother. By then the matter was already in the Carnarvon Regional Court so he pleaded guilty.
“Faced with the compelling evidence presented by the State, including the complainant’s testimony and the DNA results, the accused ultimately pleaded guilty to the charge of rape,” Senokoatsane said.
His plea for leniency fell on deaf ears as the judge ordered that his details be entered in the National Register for S3x Offenders. He was eventually slammed with a 20-years jail term.
In a victim impact statement presented in court, the mother said the experience traumatised her beyond measure. She has raised her only son as a single parent only for him to shatter her at the time she should be hoping to enjoy the fruits of her labour.
