Ahead of 2027 elections, a very dangerous trend is currently playing in Aninri local government area in Enugu State.
• FCID grill Udengene, formally open his forgery and perjury investigation
Former youths leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the council, Mr Christian Onyeabor has unleashed violent gang against the current leader of African Democratic Congress (ADC) and left him half-dead.
Comr Chukwu Aloysius Odinaka, who also doubles as the Secretary General of Amagu autonomous community, was attacked on Wednesday in a broad daylight at Obodo Ogbunta Uhuagu in the community. He has since been hospitalised at the Good Shepherd Hospital, Uwani Enugu.
While the motive is carefully designed to appear as part of a community uprising, the bedrock of the near-fatal clash seems to lie in the wider politics of Enugu West.
Background of the incidence
InfoWars has been reporting the building tension in Amagu Oduma as the Town Union edged closer to their Annual General Meeting (AGM). The people of Amagu said they could no longer live under the tyrannical administration of Mr Onyeabor as litany of his atrocities has kept getting longer.
After 8 hours of rancour, fights and shouts, the meeting ended in stalemate on Day-One as the public insisted that Udengene must not preside it due to so many unresolved issues and the multiple criminal investigations hanging on the PG’s head. He had called in soldiers and uniformed police officers, all of them armed to the teeth.

But the officers refused to abuse their powers when Udengene ‘commanded’ them to beat and to arrest even though some of them, perhaps, mistakenly did beat and attempt to arrest the protesting natives. Amagu was firm, and the officers finally left the scene alone.
On Day-Two, April 8, Udengene did something shocking. Picking the microphone after opening prayers, he declared that seat of the Secretary General, Comr Aloysius Odinaka Chukwu, was vacant even though the secretary was sitting with minutes books on the table.
The Town Union Constitution stipulates how officials should be elected and dismissed. Among other things it disallows, office of President General, even it ranks highest in terms of official capacities and responsiblities, lacks the authority to remove even the lowest ranking official – let alone the Secretary General – who was elected by the people.
As people resisted the move, Udengene called in number of cultists who descended on the innocent public at the village square with guns, daggers, matchets, and icepicks. Many were wounded. The Secretary General Comr Chukwu managed to escape with his life, but was severely injured with various weapon.
Held at ransom, the people were commanded not to move as Udengene appointed one Barr Ezekiel Ukpai as the new Secretary General, and the meeting were conducted with the armed criminals threatening the people to do the PG’s bidding.

Now, this is the second affront on the Constitution of the Town Union. Having forged it – the reason of which FCID Enugu Annex is investigating him, Udengene has forcibly removed a key elected official in a blood daylight.
Three more wealthy natives are already heading to the court to challenge PG’s recent actions, with police set to begin mass arrest in Amagu community in coming days, according to sources privy to the situation.
Possible motive for attempt to kill ADC leader
Comr Aloysius Chukwu is a serious frontrunner in the race for chairmanship of the party in Aninri – assuming ADC finally succeed in holding its congresses. Although he is not at war with Mr Udengene, Chukwu would consider the PG last should he finally seeks to run for any elective position under ADC in 2027.
Udengene is fully aware of this somewhat frosty relationship. When investigation for the attacks begins, the police might be looking at various aspects, including the obvious political motive that Christian Onyeabor might want to kill the only man likely to stop him from using ADC to realise his ambition of “elective position” in 2027.
No matter what happens, Amagu 2026 AGM was a total failure. Not only did the President General Mr Christian Onyeabor failed to solve many existing problems, he created far more greater ones.
“Its regrettable that while ADC is on fire at the national level that we have to face a genuine threat from Udengene.”, Aninri ADC chieftain Ajah Kelvin told InfoWars.
