In a statement posted yesterday on its verified X handle, the spokesperson of Enugu State Police Command, SP Daniel Ndukwe, gave the man’s name as Okpara Chibuike Emmanuel.
InfoWars reported that a man simply identified as Abobby was being mobbed by his neighbours after they found the decomposing dead body of his girlfriend in his apartment.
Now, the police has clarified. Okpara is a 30-year-old man who lives at Olympic Layout at One-Day in Enugu South local government area.
Also, the police said her girlfriend’s name was Chinyere but so far there is no trace of her surname or address, and her age is unknown, too.
“The Enugu State Police Command has arrested Okpara Chibuike Emmanuel (male, aged 30) of Olympic Layout, One-Day, Enugu, for alleged murder of his girlfriend, identified as Chinyere, whose surname, age and address are yet to be established,” SP Ndukwe said, added that “The suspect was rescued from an angry mob are re-arrested by police operatives attached to Awkunanaw Division.”

Okpara then wrapped her remains in a nylon and locked them inside the toilet. When the body began to decompose, the offensive odour attracted his neighbours who forced open the apartment and caught killer.
The body has been deposited to the mortuary for autopsy, the police added.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa has ordered the State CID take over the investigation and to arraign the man in court subsequently.
Giwa also warned that women should be mindful of where they go or with whom they go out with.
“He also cautions members of the public, particularly unsuspecting young women, to inform trusted relatives or friends of their movements and exercise caution about whom they visit spend time with,” the Police chief was quoted as saying.
