As the devastating flood in Aninri communities begins to recede gradually, the people are only beginning to see the extent of the ravages. InfoWars reported the flood submerged 14 villages at Mpu and Okpanku communities in Aninri local government area, Enugu State since Tuesday. It stayed nearly 48 hours, having drowned two kids and countless livestocks, submerged crops, pulled down five mud houses while putting to flight hundreds of villagers.
The public outcry, amplified by InfoWars on-the-ground reporting, has since attracted interventions from both the federal and state governments, with the member representing Aninri in the State Assembly Hon Magnus Ede, meeting the victims yesterday afternoon.
But earlier today, more damages are being reported. The flood carried Okomigbo bridge at Mpu community.
In the viral video clip, a man’s voice is heard broadcasting their woes, showing women and a man, who are obviously farmers, being stranded at one end of the bridge. The flood has scattered the wooden bridge and carried more parts of the planks, leaving it completely inaccessible.
