Governor Ademola Adeleke has continued with series of his visits to leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). As soon as he won the reelection on Saturday, President Bola Tinubu congratulated him. Then, he spoke and said he would give Osun State to APC in 2027 presidential election. Yesterday evening, Adeleke arrived Abuja for a “Thank You” visit to APC leaders in the capital city.

After a closed-door meeting with President Tinubu in the Presidential Villa Adeleke went to snap pictures with the Federal Capital Territory FCT minister Nyesom Wike. Wike, a PDP member, has long betrayed his own party and has committed to working for APC.
So far, there is no meaningful public acknowledgement of Accord Party, the very platform under which Adeleke ran and won his reelection. And this is raising a basic question among political observers.
After denying the speculation that he had reached a deal with the president on Channels TV, the governor’s body language has suggested differently. He would support Tinubu for second term and would accommodate anyone in Osun who is genuinely working for the president’s reelection, Adeleke has publicly said.
Speaking to journalists after his meeting with the president, Adeleke said his visit was merely to thank Tinubu, the “father of the nation” for allowing democracy have its course in Osun gubernatorial election.
“Yeah, that is why I’m here to thank Mr. President, the father of the nation, because he fought for this democracy.
“That is why he allowed free and fair election, and that is the result. That is why I’m here, to say thank you to ensure that democracy lives in Nigeria,” he said.
Ok. Supposing he was saying the truth about thanking the president for allowing “free and fair election”. How can anyone explain similar “Thank You” visit to Wike?
