The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is recruiting ad-hoc staff members ahead of 2027 elections.
In case you don’t know, INEC ad-hoc staff members are workers whom the electoral umpire recruites, trains and then deploys to conduct specific election. The job is temporary, meaning that an ad-hoc staff member is not a full-time employee of INEC. Once the election for which he is deployed ends, the job stops.

For the 2027 elections, INEC said it is targeting about 1.4 million ad-hoc staff members. The portal opened yesterday September 18, 2026 and would close on November 18, 2026.
The position available for ad-hoc staff members in 2027
- Supervisory Presiding Officer (SPO)
- Presiding Officer (PO) / Assistant Presiding Officer (APO)
- Registration Area Center (RAC) Manager
- Registration Area Technical Support (RATECH)

- Click on ‘Get Started’ when the site loads
