Members of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Enugu State kick as viral video clips from PDP’s Uche Nnaji continue to drown their voices in the new waves of effective propaganda.
“Happening live now at the Dragon Recreation Centre, Enugu, as members of the NDC and supporters across the state join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in support of Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji,” one of the posts with accompanying a video – sited by InfoWars – read.
The contents started trending this evening, with the clips showing hundreds of people bearing PDP branded umbrellas and t-shirts, endorsing Nnaji, the party’s candidate for governorship 2027 election.
“Please disregard this, It’s a mischief from the weak PDP,” a social media user replied X. The user was immediately countered by seven different rebukes.
“For una everything is propaganda. If u see truth you still dey call am propaganda… and even wan make we gree. Mumu ppl”, said a user @042boSS.
“It’s P.O or nothing. If NDC Enugu like make dem go join QRC or any acronym for Enugu. Nothing concern me concerns who dey contest for NDC governorship for Enugu”, @lowPrizGen said.
“It’s normal. We know. All so-called the opposition parties in Enugu are APC in the night. Die minutes now they’ll join APC. All the governorship candidates are APC moles, we know. I’m not surprised. Thank God I no even get PVC”, @Prof_Ocho.
Enugu is quite a unique state. There is no opposition party which have mounted any serious challenge to ruling party apart from, of course, Labour Party which was ultimately powered by Mr Peter Obi’s influence in 2023. The tradition has also been for the opposition candidates to reach a plush settlements with the ruling party, leaving their members stranded at the die-minute.

Although NDC members, including those in Aninri council area, are trying to downplay the current viral video clips, it’s obvious the core message is resonating with large segments of the voting population who have seen multiple disappointments from Enugu opposition in the past.
After all, why would PDP want to destroy a sister opposition party whereas its APC which stands in the way of both?
Whether or not the circulating videos are propaganda, their messages are particularly telling. The timing is excellent, too. But, what if it’s not a propaganda after all?
