Former Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has spoken on the best players in the 2026 World Cup. Other football icons have been speaking too, with majority of the opinions revolving around Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Speaking with Tribal Football, Klopp named the duo in the tournament, hailing their longevity as well as the amazing way thwy play even at advanced age.
He praised Ronaldo for the fitness to play great game at 41, and Messi for his tactics and record-breaking scoring.
“As a mere spectator, it naturally captivates me a bit because they are the best players of the last ten, fifteen years,” Klopp said.
“After the first game, in which Cristiano Ronaldo was heavily criticised, to then strike back like that, and at 41 years old with an extremely lively, intense performance, I was very pleased,” Jurgen Klopp said.
Messi has scored a total of 18 World Cup goals, while Ronaldo has netted 10.
