It also means that Tunisia is the first and only Africa country – so far – which has been mathematically eliminated from the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Egypt is leading Group G while Ghana is doing well in Group L. Cape Verde and Algeria are in trouble in Groups H and J respectively. Before them stand critical matches that would determine whether or not they are going to I make it to Round 32. Senegal and DR Congo have missed out at the group stage, and now have to rely on the performances of other groups to see if they could end up among the best thirds.
