The attention of the general public is hereby drawn to a false and misleading rumour circulating in some quarters, alleging that Engr. Emmanuel Franklin Chidera, a 2027 House of Representatives Candidate of the Accord party(A) for the Aninri/Awgu/Oji River Federal Constituency, intends to step down for another candidate.
We wish to state categorically that this information is FALSE, baseless, and should be disregarded by the general public.
Engr. Emmanuel Franklin Chidera remains firmly committed to his aspiration and his determination to participate fully in the 2027 House of Representatives election. At no point should rumours, speculations, or fabricated narratives be mistaken for an official declaration of his political intentions.
For the avoidance of doubt, Engr. Franklin Emmanuel Chidera is not stepping down for anybody. He is in this race to contest, to engage the people, to present his vision, and to allow the democratic process to determine the outcome,And also resist Any form of rigging using every lawful and moral means necessary.
Politics should be about ideas, capacity, credibility, service, and the will of the people not the circulation of misleading information designed to create confusion or weaken another person’s ambition.
Our position is clear: this is a democratic contest, and every Candidate has the right to pursue their ambition within the law. We have no fear of the electoral process, and we are not intimidated by rumours or otherwise. Our commitment remains to the people and to the vision that inspired this aspiration.
We are prepared to see this journey through to the very end. When we win, we will accept the mandate with gratitude and a sense of responsibility. If the outcome goes otherwise, we will respect the democratic process. But the decision to step down for another candidate is not on the table.
We therefore urge our esteemed supporters, party faithful, community leaders, news bloggers,Media partners and the general public to verify information before sharing it. Let us promote issue-based politics, mutual respect, and a healthy democratic environment.
Let it be clearly understood: Engr. Emmanuel Franklin Chidera is standing, his aspiration remains alive, and he is not stepping down for anybody.
