ADC primaries in Jigawa is suspended indefinitely, Returning Officer announces

African Democratic Congress (ADC) is already a dead party. From all corners, crisis is rocking it hard.
One of the worst is happening in Jigawa at the moment. The collation of results of primaries for State House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, governorship and presidential tickets has stopped. And the exercises – indefinitely – is suspended.

Announcing the ordeal to newsmen in Dutse earlier today, the Chief Returning Officer, Zaki Ahmed, said the combination of massive irregularities an violence defined the primaries.
“Results had been received from 19 out of the 27 local government areas, while officials were still awaiting submissions from Auyo, Roni and Kazaure councils,” Ahmed said.
ADC had served as a ray of hope for the ordinary Nigerians when political heavyweights like Mr Peter Obi, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former Senate President David Mark and many others came under the umbrella of opposing President Bola Tinubu’s return in 2027.
But then, the gathering – which has since dispersed – was and, is still, destined to die. The party’s inabilities to manage itself due to the conflicting ambitions of its members is, in fact, the roots of its existence in the first place. That faulty foundation is still there, and it’s tearing Jigawa into pieces right now.
