Federal High Court has granted bail to Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Related Offences Commission, ICPC arrested in February and has since kept him in detention.

News of his bail was first reported by a political commentator Imran Wakili.
Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has been granted bail by the Federal High Court,” Wakili wrote on X.
El-Rufai appeared in the court in the morning amid heavy security presence – reflecting the intense public and political interests surrounding his trial, SaharaReporters reported.

The former Kaduna State is being accused of corrupt practises while in the office as the governor. El-Rufai served between 2015 and 2023 under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC). All this while he got along fine with the presidency until he defected to African Democratic Congress (ADC) on November 2025.
